Art that remembers what you've forgotten

Impression meets emotion — memories reborn in color. Half-real, half-dream — painting the way remembrance feels.

Impressionism Meets Memory

Blending impressionism with hints of surrealism to paint the way remembrance feels — colorful, intimate, and just familiar enough to take you back.

Personal & Nostalgic

Each piece speaks to shared experiences and memories — the sweet smell of cut grass, coastal vacations, and moments that become treasures of our past.

About Avery Crawford

I create pieces that speak to me from my own experiences. I often find myself nostalgic for the moments I've lived — the sweet smell of cut grass before cell phones, the salt in the air of a coastal vacation before I drove a car, the soft curls of a girl's hair whose number I lost and never saw again.

Memories are a fickle thing; they come to us when we least expect them, in half-forgotten melodies, like when the needle skips across a record at a particular lyric. In their perfect imperfections, they become the unobtainable treasures of our past.

I am heavily influenced by late Delaware artists Eddie Lopper JR and Jack Lewis, as well as by the timeless works of Vincent van Gogh and Jamie, Andrew, and N.C. Wyeth. Born and raised in historic Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, I blend impressionism with hints of surrealism to paint the way remembrance feels — colorful, intimate, and just familiar enough to take you back. Currently living in Huntsville, Alabama, I continue to explore the intersection of memory and artistic expression.
